The signing period for Latin American free agents began on July 2nd, and the Mets signed their own "A-Rod", Dominican third baseman Aderilyn Rodriguez, whom they gave a half million dollar bonus to in exchange for his "John Hancock." It had been rumore... 
Great post- the mets minor leagues are so much stronger then anyone gave them credit for- you guys called it ... Just found the MLB Hub site, and happy to see that my favorite blog, Shea Nation, is the Mets' site ... by the way new york yankee scouts were at our school the other day Does anyone know if there are t-shirts being sold that say "In Tek We Trust?"
